In Office 365, I started up Word today and tried to use some of my shortcuts for styles. For Heading1, I had Alt+1, Heading2, Alt+2, and so on. When I pressed Alt+1, Word tried to open a new file, so I escaped out of that, opened sytles, and tried to reset the shortcut (modify > shortcut key), but instead of bringing up the menu, it froze and gave me an hourglass. Word was completely frozen, so I rebooted. The same thing happened again several times and not just in this one document. It did it in new documents and in existing documents. Sometimes, I could reset one or two of the shortcut keys before it would freeze up again. Then, when I started again, none of the changes stuck, so I had to start again. Other times, it would freeze up. Next, I reinstalled Office, but it retained my settings and happened again. I'd hate to have to do an uninstall and reinstall because, the way Office comes out of the box, it requires a lot of customization to get it to work 'normally' ( the way I want it to work).
